We're on a hectic schedule these days with the doctors. Lara goes once a week to the OB. Every other week we go to another OB for an in-depth ultrasound. The pics below are from our most recent in-depth ultrasound. The pics aren't that great, but if you stare long enough you can see their faces. We've got another one scheduled this coming week so we'll have more pictures then.
They're both doing fine, and this week's ultrasound will get us another estimate of their weights. There's no reason to worry, the OB is just being cautious. She's increased the monitoring to make sure they continue to grow at the same rate. We're still on schedule to induce Lara in early May if she doesn't go into labor before then. Fortunately, they are now 29 weeks and the survival rate is pretty high at this point. Each day they pack on more and more weight. We've heard the magic weight that keeps us from the NICU is 5 lbs. They're in the 2-3 lbs. range now with 8 weeks to go.
As you can see from the pictures, we're almost sure we've decided on names - Lucas and Andrew. Lucas was a name we've liked since the beginning. Andrew was actually our niece Maya's idea. I liked it instantly (looks a lot like Andre). We wanted to stay away from names that started with the same letter or rhymed...
